In what at first appears to be a very early April Fools joke, today's Liverpool Echo is reporting that the out of favour Pennant could be set for a move to the Reds' Champions League opponents and european legends, Real Madrid.
Liverpool have apparently accepted a £3m bid from the Spanish side and the deal is now dependent on Pennant agreeing personal terms.
