Pennant return pleases Rafa

Pennant played his first game in three months when he returned from injury against Wigan on Wednesday. His return to first team action pleased Rafa Benitez.

"When you have a winger who can play really wide, beat players and provide crosses it always gives you another option," said the Liverpool boss.

"Some teams play narrow and compact to stop you from going forward so sometimes you need to play with wingers and Jermaine gives us this option."
