"Gerrard is an example for everyone in the dressing room and it is important for him to keep scoring," said the keeper.
"He is always trying to do things properly in training and in games and because of his character you can see how good he is.
"We still have some other good players. We have a bigger squad and whoever plays for Liverpool does really well but when we have Stevie we are much better.
"When he is on the pitch it is more probable because he is a great player, but we are Liverpool and if we depend on only Stevie there is something wrong.
"He is an important player but the other 10 guys are killing themselves to help him."
