Pongo injury blow

Pongolle had come on as a subsitute for Milan Baros when he damaged his cartilage and had to be withdrawn. Pongolle became the twelfth different player to suffer an injury for the Reds this season.

Benitez said: "I will have to talk with the doctor but unfortunately we think it is a very bad injury.
 
"We have not had the best of luck with injuries of late and this is another blow. We will have to wait and see."
