Pongo wants to stay in Spain

The Liverpool striker is currently on loan with La Liga side Recreativo de Huelva. Although Recreativo may not be able to afford to sign Pongolle on a permanent deal at the end of the season, the French under 21's international says he doesn't want to return to Anfield.

"Today I don't have any desire to go back and sweat blood and tears again in England. What I have out here in Spain suits me very well and I'd like to stay whether it's at Recreativo or somewhere else," he said.
