"He's got loads of talent but he's come to us out of season and he's only had a week's training, so the best we could do was put him on the bench," said Academy Director Steve Heighway.
"When he's fit he looks a really good player. He gave us a little bit of composure. He has a lot to offer but he's a month away from fitness.
"He's settling in very well. We had him on trial before Christmas. We're really pleased to have him and I think he'll be a terrific player. I think he could be a real prospect."
