Arbeloa scored his first Liverpool goal during Saturday's 2-1 win over Reading at the Madjeski Stadium. After the game Rafa Benitez praised the coolness of his January signing.

"The way Arbeloa put the ball away, I thought he was a striker. We knew that he was a player that could go forward with the ball," said the Reds' boss.

"The first pass he made was a bad one as Bellamy was free at he ended up giving it to Crouch, but at the end of the day it was important goal, and it was also good for him and his confidence."
