While other released members of the under 19's squad have been on trial with other clubs Harrison was asked to stay at Liverpool as cover. The keeper agreed and is set to be rewarded for his loyalty.
Houllier said: "We have decided we would like to keep Paul. I think he will stay for at least another year and then we will see what happens.
"Paul deserves this because he has shown a great attitude since he came to Melwood and he has also shown us in training that he is capable of rising to a higher level."
