Praise for Momo

Rafa Benitez has praised the talents of a player who will play a key role in tomorrow's Community Shield clash with Chelsea.

"Momo is a really good professional who shows all the people how committed he is every time he plays," said the Liverpool boss.

"He's the same in training as he is on the pitch. This is the kind of player I like and the supporters enjoy watching. When you have a good player who has a strong physical approach to the game, the fans are always happy.

"I hope he will improve even more. He knows he needs to improve when he is with the ball, but this is an area he practices every day. There are also tactical movements he needs to work on, and then he will be even stronger.

"You can pay big money for a player, but if that player is good enough it's good business - Xabi Alonso is a good example of this. He was expensive, but he's a very good player and nobody questions we were right to pay so much.

"But as a manager you're always trying to bring in players of a high quality at a good price, so in the case of Momo, it's fair to say I'm really happy with him."
