Praise for new boy

Castille is expected to return to the starting line-up when the Welsh under 21's face Poland tonight. Flynn has praised the striker for bouncing back from the disappointment of being released by Manchester United to earn a contract with the Champions of Europe.

"It's a God-given chance for the lad, I hope he takes it. He has had an eventful summer. It was a difficult time for him. At one stage it looked like he was going to Colchester and then he ends up at Liverpool," said Flynn.

"Let's hope he progresses. Maybe he wants to prove a point to Manchester United by doing well at Liverpool. The ball is in his court.

"He has great talent; he's just 19 with ability, pace and an eye for goal. When we played Germany 12 months ago he impressed everybody on the night in a difficult role up front.

"But with the ability he has got he must have a chance of making it. He needs advice and help, it's not just an iron fist but also an arm around his shoulders sometimes.

"I met him a few times in the summer to discuss his future and I do that with lots of the lads if I can help. I just hope Ramon takes this great chance to make something of his career."
