Kuyt is likely to partner Peter Crouch up front against Chelsea tomorrow after Fernando Torres picked up a hamstring injury on international duty. Despite a dismal season, Rafa Benitez is backing his £9m signing to come good at Stamford Bridge.
"He has scored some goals. If you look at his record in Holland he always scored a lot of goals, but here he is doing a good job for the team," said the Liverpool boss.
"He has been training really well for us and that is the kind of reaction you want from a player.
"Kuyt is a fantastic professional."
