Rafa calls for focus

Liverpool's last game was a dour 0-0 at Man City and Rafa Benitez has admitted the distraction of the upcoming Champions League semi-final played a part in that. He has now called on his team to focus on their league form and wrap up qualification for next season's tournament.

"It wasn't a good game. We had some chances but we didn't play well, especially in the second half. We knew it might be like this because we are playing in the semi-finals of the Champions League," said the Reds' boss.

"The other competition is so big that sometimes the players can lose concentration. We must try to be focused in the Premier League.

"Bolton and Everton are close, but it depends on us and whether we can do our job. If we win the games we now have at home we will be there. Plus they need to win every game, which is not easy."
