Rafa calls for improvement

Liverpool took only one point from the games against Manchester United and Chelsea this season and that cost them. Indeed, if Liverpool had beaten Chelsea home and away this season instead of losing both games, they, not the Londoners, would be sitting pretty at the top of the league.

Rafael Benitez says the Reds have had a very good season but will need to improve their results against the top two sides if they are to make next season a great one.

"Eighty-two points is a fantastic figure but we need to win more games against the top sides. That can be the difference," said the Liverpool boss.

"I am happy with the progression of the side this season but also I know we have to improve if we want to win that title."
