Rafa confident of improvement

Liverpool have not played well yet this season despite booking their place in the group stage of the Champions League and being in second place in the league. However, Rafa Benitez is confident his team will begin to show an improvement as the season progresses.

"Javier Mascherano, Lucas and Babel arrived late and I am sure that in a few weeks' time it will be better," said the Reds boss.

"We need to have better possession and work on having a higher tempo."
