A 2-1 win puts them in the final of the FA Cup and proves that the gap is narrowing between the two sides.

"I am delighted for the players, the club and supporters," said the Liverpool boss.

"We had an idea how to control them and we did in the first half but in the second half it was more difficult. They went forward and we had a few tired players. In the end we kept the result but it was difficult.
"They like to play by punishing the mistakes of the other team. We made one , they scored and we were under pressure.

"Chelsea have a lot of good players and play well but we were trying to control and at the end we worked really hard.

"We are progressing in the Premiership and we won the Super Cup, we lost the Toyota Cup but now we are in third position and in the final of the FA Cup. It is a good position.

"We are in the most famous cup in the world and it would be really important for us to win - for the players, the club and the supporters. We need to relax and try to win it.
