Liverpool booked their place in the Europa League semi-final with a 4-1 win over Benfica at Anfield (5-3 on aggregate). Not just the result, but also the display pleased the boss.
"It was a very good game. Maybe because the other team is very good you can say four goals was a fantastic performance but I think we have played other games better than this in terms of possession and control. But we are very happy and it was a great performance," said Benitez.
"Every single win is important but especially at this stage of an important competition. Hopefully we can play well, score goals and the fans will be really pleased if we can get closer to the top four and maybe reach the final."
