It's an impressive return for the Spaniard's first season in English football but his manager expects him to get even more.
"If the team continues playing well he will score more goals," said Benitez.
"He is always a threat. In wide areas we have players who can beat defenders, and when teams play high against us Torres can beat defenders. He can create his own situations for scoring goals.
"It is important for us to have a player who is always a threat for defenders. It creates more space for players like Gerrard and the wingers. They are left in one on one situations because everybody is thinking about Torres."
