Rafa explains selection

Albert Riera and Robbie Keane both had excellent games against Chelsea on Sunday so it was a suprise to see them both on the subsitutes bench against Portsmouth last night. After the game Rafa Benitez explained the dup had picked up knocks in Sunday's win so were rested as a precaution.

"Keane and Riera had some problems and were a little bit tired so I wanted to protect them," said the Reds boss.
