Rafa: Focus on Charlton

Boss Rafa Benitez has told his team that they must forget about the defeat against Chelsea and to concentrate on the game against Charlton instead.
The Reds go into the game having taken only one point from their last three games and the boss is keen to ensure that the player’s confidence hasn't been dented.

"My philosophy is very clear," said the boss. "I only think of the future. I have spoken to my team about the importance of only thinking about the next game and not dwelling on the past.

"Our future is about playing as well as possible and winning games. We know what happened at Chelsea, we know Pepe made a mistake but that's the end of it. We have to look forward now.

"We have a big game at Charlton and my only thoughts at the moment are preparing the players in the best way and thinking about our tactical formation for the game.

"Charlton are a good team with a good manager who I respect a lot. It will be a difficult game for us but we are going there looking for the three points."

The team will show at least two changes with Pepe Reina's suspension starting and Stevie Gerrard not risked with a knee injury. Robbie Fowler should feature in the squad having undergone extra fitness training at the weekend.
