Goals from Dirk Kuyt and Peter Crouch were enough to defeat the Hammers at Upton Park. Rafa Benitez admitted he was pleased with the win but refused to get drawn into talk about the title.

"It was a great win for us. We've maintained our winning momentum and need to keep going. We scored two great goals and the second was really good play," said the Liverpool boss.

"It was important that we scored first because when they scored we were a little bit nervous.

"We cannot think about the title. We must just keep on winning and if we do that then in three or four weeks we might be able to start talking about possibilities. We are on a good run and enjoying it."
