Rafa glad Torres stays

Torres was not named in the Spain squad because of the injury he picked up against Arsenal last month. Rafa Benitez is glad to keep Torres at Melwood as it means he can work with him ahead of next week's trip to Newcastle.

"I'm not surprised he isn't in the squad because he has been injured," said the Reds boss.

"I'm pleased with the decision because it means he can stay with us and train and be ready for the next game. After a month without playing it's important he can work with us."
