Benitez said: "Crouch was man of the match. If he keeps playing like that I will be delighted with him as long as we continue winning or getting the results we need.
"It would be better to see him scoring goals. But, during the game you can see a lot of things and alternatives he gives us.
"This is very different from the situation last season. This is very good for us. Now we can concentrate on the second round."
