The reserve team winger had work permit problems last season and didn't play for Liverpool since a reserve game against Middlesbrough on December 10th 2007. Instead the club had to loan him out to Spanish side Espanyol.

Leto played his first game in a Red shirt since then when he started against FC Lucerne last night. Rafa Benitez was pleased to see the Argentinian back and hopes to get his work permit problems sorted shortly.

"Leto is a good player and he showed tonight the quality that he has. He has had some problems with his work permit but hopefully that will be okay because has a lot of quality," said the boss.

"We are waiting to hear when that permit will come through and we should find that out in the next 10 days."
