Rafa ready to rest stars

Gerrard, Alonso and Carragher were all expected to play in tomorrow's pre-season frienly against Grasshoppers or Friday's game with FSV Mainz. However, Luis Garcia's injury in Saturday's game against Kaiserslauten has caused a re-think.
"We must be careful with the rest of the players after what happened to Luis," said Rafa Benitez.
"He has a neck injury and has been complaining of a sore neck in training three days ago.
"The most important thing now is that we keep the rest of the players fit."
