Rafa refuses to concede

Defeat at Manchester United has left them 11 points behind them in the table, but the Liverpool boss is still hopeful.

"I know that we can talk about this for weeks if we want," he said. "But we have to win against Aston Villa at home and continue winning.

"It is a very long race. I am not stupid. I cannot say 'yes we are out of it' or not. We have to wait for a few games and see what options we have then.

"We are 11 points behind and that is the situation. I don't need to analyse it every day as I cannot change things now. How can you change things in your life? By working harder and working better. We must now think about Reading and Aston Villa.

"I want to change things and improve the things that we are not doing well."
