A lack of goals and only one win so far has left many pointing the finger at the Spanish man, but he believes it won't be long before things improve.

"I feel we have started well in the way we are playing this season, but the problem is we need to improve certain positions and we couldn't do it," says the Reds boss.

"We know we need to balance the team. When we do, so we know we can't afford to make mistakes when we make signings. Some clubs can afford to make a big signing and make a mistake because they have a lot of money. It's important we don't.

"January is always more difficult to bring in the players you want, but we have some ideas we are working on. Of course, it's better to say nothing about it now because when you talk about players, their price goes up."
