Luis Garcia will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during Tuesday's Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal. Rafa Benitez says his absence is a big disruption to his plans.
"One of the things we were trying to avoid on Tuesday was losing players, and especially Luis because he's a player who can change games. He scores very good goals in Europe and it's a big loss for us," said Benitez on his countryman.
