The Reds were denied a second penalty when fat referee Phil Dowd failed to see Andriy Voronin taken out five minutes from the end. There was also a third shout, for handball, but the boss admitted that one was probably not a pen.

"I think everybody could see, especially the challenge on Voronin. It was so clear. You could maybe say the second incident was ball to hand, but the first one was clear," said Benitez, while sarcastically waving his glasses in the air in his post match press conference.
