Rafa to rotate

The Liverpool boss will again change his team for tomorrow's Champions League group stage opener against Porto. Steven Gerrard, Ryan Babel and Fernando Torres, who were all subsitutes against Portsmouth on Saturday are expected to start as are Javier Mascherano and Dirk Kuyt who were not in the sixteen at the weekend.

"After an international break it's always a problem because you can't train properly with the players. Mentally the players are ready but physically they are not so I will be changing some players for this game," said Rafa Benitez.

"If you analyse the Porto team they are a club that sells players every year but they still always have a lot of quality in their squad like Quaresma.

"They are a very good team and they have experience in Europe. They have pace in the team and it will be a difficult game but we have a lot of confidence in Europe. We are going to Portugal with the same idea we have for every game and that is to win the match.

"I think at least 12 points will be enough for us to qualify for the next stage. If we can win our home games then one victory away could be enough and hopefully we can do that against Porto."
