The diminutive City star proved his potential with the final goal in England's 3-0 thrashing of the Ukraine, but the Reds are well aware of the ability possessed by the men from Manchester.
Benitez said: "Manchester City have some good players and I know about Shaun Wright-Phillips who is a very good player with pace and skill. We have to control him but City have other good players like Fowler, Anelka and Sibierski."
