Bottom of the table Tottenham Hotspur have taken four points from their last two games since Harry Redknapp took over as manager, including a dramatic 4-4 draw at the Emirates on Wednesday. Rafa Benitez is now expecting a tough game against a fired up Spurs.

"It is difficult to say if things will be better or worse in the future for them," said the Liverpool boss.

"But it will always a good thing in the short term because their players want to impress the new manager.

"I think that they have a lot of quality and they will need time, but clearly they should be higher in the table.

"Roman Pavulchenko and Luka Modric are offensive players and Jermaine Jenas is a good player too. They are the reason why I have confidence they will improve. Tottenham have a lot of quality.

"David Bentley is another good player. He can shoot from distance and is very dangerous, so Pepe Reina will be aware of him."
