"The players knew what to do, they worked very hard and have quality," he said. "We could have maybe scored more because we had a lot of chances and played with a real passion."

When asked about Torres' inclusion in the starting 11 he added: "It was very close because he had a bruised ankle but the doctor gave him an injection so he was ok.

"He had a strap so he was under control. It was still a risk but the game was very important."
