Rapaic set to snub Reds

Rapaic, currently a free agent, has trained with the Parkhead club and admits he would prefer to stay in Scotland.

He said: "Ten days ago, Liverpool guaranteed that I would get a visa. They promised one from the British Embassy, but I would rather sign for Celtic, to be honest.

"I have been to Glasgow once before, when Fenerbahce played Rangers in the Champions League, and I have seen Celtic's stadium.

"The stadium is one of the best in the world and I believe that, in Glasgow, I would be granted the privacy which I need. It is a big reason to come to Scotland."
