Gerrard seemed set to sign for Chelsea during the summer but eventually decided to remain at Anfield. Gerrard has since admitted that while he was tempted to leave Anfield Chelsea were not the only side to come in for him.
"Everyone linked me with Chelsea and assumed that was where I was going but, to be honest, there were three or four good clubs knocking on my agent's door," said Gerrard.
