Reds await Kirkland decision

The Liverpool keeper, who suffered knee ligament damage in an accidental clash with Crystal Palace striker Dele Adebola, had flown to America to find out his fate.

After meeting with Dr Richard Steadman, though, the club did not decide to confirm surgery. A decision must be made soon if Kirkland is to have any chance of being fit for the start of next season.
