Reds back at Melwood

Some Liverpool players returned to Melwood to begin their pre-season training. The likes of Jamie Carragher, Dirk Kuyt, Martin Skrtel and Yossi Benayoun all began their preparations for the new season yesterday. Steven Gerrard and new signing Glen Johnson return later in the week after being involved in England's World Cup qualifiers at the end of May while Andrea Dossena and the Spanish contingent get an extra fortnight off because of their Confederations Cup involvement.
