Reds back on form

Liverpool go into tonight's Champions League game with Galatasary on the back of two successive wins with five goals scored and none conceded. Defender Steve Finnan believes the Reds are now starting to get their season back on track.

"We've had back to back wins, played well against some decent teams, and hopefully we're going on a run now," said the Irish international.

"There were a few people writing us off last week, but we knew we'd played well down at Chelsea.

"It's been important to get back on track, but it's early days and we're not that far off the top after six games.

"It just goes to show how quickly things can change when you win a few games.

"Our home record is fantastic and we've been wanting to make Anfield just like the old days again.

"I think we've done that recently and it's something we want to continue.

"Hopefully we can pick up the points we need because we don't want to be going to Turkey for the last game needing a result to qualify.

"The Champions League is always great, particularly at Anfield, and it's another big game to look forward to.

"We were slightly disappointed not to win the last match in Eindhoven, particularly when Stevie Gerrard was unlucky with his strike at the end.

"Overall it was probably a fair result, but an away point in Europe is always good."
