Pepe Reina's clean sheet in the Reds' 3-0 win was the eleventh in a row, beating the old record of ten that was achieved by Kenny Dalglish's 1987/88 side.

After the game Rafael Benitez spoke of his pride in his team. "I think it is a very good achievement. Pepe Reina made some important saves and all the team worked hard for each other. The players deserve to go into the history books of a club like Liverpool I am proud of my team." said the Liverpool boss.
