Reds claim a point at Bramhall Lane

The newly-promoted side went ahead just after half time, after defensive errors allowed Rob Hulse a free header on goal.

Liverpool piled on the pressure and won a penalty after Steven Gerrard was clipped in the area. Robbie Fowler converted the spot kick to put the Reds level.

More worryingly, both John Arne Riise and Jamie Carragher had to leave the field with ankle injuries in the first half.

There's no news yet on the extent of the injuries, but the Norwegian looked in pain and had to be stretchered off the field.
