Liverpool have confirmed that they are to play a friendly against Chester City at the Deva Stadium on Tuesday 13th August.
The fixture has been arranged as part of the deal for Chester allowing the Reds to play their reserve games at the Deva Stadium next season.
Chester secretary Mike Beech confirmed the news: "This is another great honour for Chester City Football Club and Liverpool have promised to send a strong squad to play against us.
"We are forging strong links with Liverpool Football Club and following the news that they are to play their reserve team fixtures next season at the Deva Stadium, we consider this latest news to be another great coup for us."
Ticket selling arrangements will be announced within the next fortnight.
