Lorenzo Saz, the former president at the Bernabau who is again running for the top job at the club, has revealed that Baros will join alongside compatriot Tomas Rosicky and the impressive Portugese midfielder Manich if he ousts Florentino Perez in this Sunday's election.

With Djibril Cisse having completed a record £14m move and Michael set to stay on Merseyside, many will feel that a substantial bid for the 22-year-old would be seriously considered.

A club spokesman, however, while not dismissing potential bids for the striker, insisted that no contact with the La Liga outfit had been received concerning the Reds player.

Spokesman Ian Cotton said: "There has been no contact between the clubs."
