Reds deny Spanish swoop

Reports from Spain suggest Liverpool are on the brink of signing two youngsters from Barcelona and Real Madrid. Barca's 16 year old playmaker Fran Merida and Real's Esteban Granero have both been linked with the Reds.

Liverpool's Chief Executive Rick Parry said the Reds were aware of both players but denied the club had made a move to sign them.
