Reds draw

The Reds' fourth pre-season friendly ended goalless after Andriy Voronin missed a penalty in the second half.

The first half of the game was a complete non-event as far as Liverpool were concerned. They created one half chance for Javier Mascherano and that was it.

After the break it was a different story however, with full-backs Andrea Dossena and Philipp Degen looking to bomb forward at every opportunity. At last chances were being created for the forwards.

The best chance came four minutes into the second half when Liverpool were awarded a penalty after Voronin was brought down in the box. The Ukrainian stepped up to take the spot kick but saw his shot saved by the goalkeeper.

Voronin and Pacheco carved out a couple of other chances for themselves but there was to be no breakthrough.
