Reds duo desperate for Czech success

With the Dutch leading 2-1 with just twenty minutes remaining, Baros hit an early candidate for goal-of-the-tournament before Anfield colleague Vladimir Smicer converted Karel Poborsky's astute pass to give the Czech Republic a 3-2 victory in what will be remembered as arguably the greatest game in European Championship history.

After reaching such a high on Saturday and clinching top spot in the so-called 'group of death' it may be forgiveable if the Czech's eased off against a poor German side, but both Baros and Smicer are ager to continue their winning ways.

Baros said: we will give 100 percent. We definitely want to win. "We have good players on the bench and they will want to prove themselves."

Smicer added: "It will be a difficult matc for us. They are our neighbours and we want to beat them. We are not under pressure but we want to show we are first in the group.
