Reds get Euro grant

European officials were given guarantees by the Liverpool board that the money is in place to build the Reds' new stadium and so gave the club the grant.

However, the club will have to spend the money before 2008 or they will have to give it back.

Liverpool also hope to get funding from the likes of the North West Development Agency.
