Reds guaranteed third

Liverpool's win at Blackburn yesterday coupled with Spurs being beaten at hom by Man Utd this afternoon means that Liverpool can finish no lower than third this season, although the Reds can still overhaul United in the race for second.

By finishing third Liverpool are guaranteed a place in next season's Champions League qualifier regardless of what Arsenal do in this season's European Cup.
