Reds hit by Cheyrou blow

The French international was given a rare chance to impress but was only able to complete seven minutes. After playing John Arne Riise and Emile Heskey in the troubled left midfield position, it was thought Cheyrou would make the position his own. His unfortunate injury adds to a stuttering start to his Liverpool career.

Gerard Houllier confirmed the injury suffered by the talented midfielder:"Bruno had a pull of his groin when he tried to make a tackle. I don't know how long he will be out at this stage but he certainly won't be involved in the next two weeks."
