Reds in talks with Kuyt

Kuyt was Rafael Benitez's top striker target for the past two Summers. With Liverpool choosing to sign Jermaine Pennant ahead of the more expensive Daniel Alves, there could be money left over to bring Kuyt to Anfield.

Liverpool originally offered Jan Kromkamp and Jerzy Dudek as part of a player plus cash deal but Feyenoord are insisting on £10m cash only. However, the Reds are hopeful of selling Kromkamp and Dudek seperately and raising enough money to sign Kuyt.
