Reds in talks with Torres

The BBC are reporting that Liverpool officials are in talks with the Spanish club despite Athletico President Enrique Cerezo claiming the Reds haven't put a bid in for the striker.

Torres wants to join Liverpool and Rafael Benitez will hope that will presuade Athletico to sell.

The Reds have offered Djibril Cisse or Luis Garcia in part exchange for Torres, but Benitez would prefer to keep Garcia at Anfield if possible.
