Mascherano, along with Carlos Tevez, joined West Ham back in August. However, the Argentinian midfielder has failed to settle at Upton Park and has ben told he is not part of Alan Curbishley's plans.

Liverpool have been linked with Mascherano in this morning's papers but any move will be dependent on special dispensation from FIFA to allow the midfielder to play for three different clubs in the same season.
